Here is the step-by-step guide to choosing the theme that you prefer for your smartphone.

In the Android Google App, you can choose to use a light or dark mode different from your system default. To do this, go into the Google App settings and choose the mode that you prefer. Dark mode not only saves your device’s battery but is less stressful to eyes than a bright white background.

The dark mode is available for the Google App on Android 10 and iOS 12/13. If you do not have access to Android 10 but you do have Android O or higher – you can still get access to dark mode in Beta.
